Parent/Guardian Tips

I invite you to continue to make a difference in your child’s education
by becoming involved in school activities. The success of a school
depends heavily on parental involvement and good student
attendance.

Keep in touch with your child’s teacher throughout the school year.
Establish a routine for homework and bedtime.
Read to your child every day.
Check your child’s agenda every day.
Give your child a positive comment and a hug every morning before he/she leaves for school.
Make good attendance a priority.
Let your child know that unless he/she is sick, he/she must go to school.
Try to schedule doctor and dentist appointments after school.
Plan family vacations during school breaks.
Remember being in school every day means that your child won’t miss out on learning.
