Welcome!Top of Page

This school year marks my 35th year in education, with the last thirteen spent in administration. I have taught grades K-5 and 6th grade math and spent several years as a gifted teacher of Program Challenge with endorsements in reading, math, gifted and SST. My experiences in education have taken me to several counties in Georgia, to Alabama, Virginia, and overseas to Germany. Where ever I have served, children have been my priority. I believe with every fiber of my being that everything we do, every decision we make, and every penny we spend, must be for what is best for our students.

I am excited, honored and blessed to be a part of the Orrs Elementary School family.  This school year will be a year of setting and reaching attainable goals, working harder and smarter and taking our school and student achievement to the next level of “GREATNESS”.  At Orrs we are dedicated to a student-centered program that promotes academic excellence through an enriched and rigorous curriculum.  As a staff, we are here to support all of our students, by any means necessary, to ensure they reach their fullest academic potential.  We look forward to working with our students, parents and the members of the community to provide a high-quality education that students deserve.

Our goal is to ensure that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers and prolific writers.  We do all of this to prepare our students for the demands of the real-world so they may become productive citizens, become our future leaders, and contribute and/or give back something positive to the community.

I look forward to working with you and our students. On behalf of the staff of Orrs Elementary School, I want to welcome all of you and thank you for being a part of the Orrs school community where SUCCESS IS NOT AN OPTION…. BUT AN EXPECTATION.  We are truly on the path to GREATNESS.
