My name is Corenza Barnes, and I am proud to serve as the principal of Orrs Elementary School. I am a graduate of Lamar County Comprehensive High School and continued my education at Georgia Southern University, where I earned a degree in Secondary Science Education with a minor in Coaching. I later earned my Master’s degree in K–12 Technology Integration and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

I am passionate about creating a positive school culture where students feel supported, teachers feel valued, and families know they are an important part of our school community. I believe strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences are essential to helping every student reach their full potential.

As principal of Orrs Elementary, I am committed to providing First Class Service: Every Student, Every Stakeholder, Every Day. It is an honor to lead our Aviators and work alongside our teachers, staff, families, and community partners to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and soar.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, Jhondee, and I have been married for 17 years, and we are blessed with two daughters, Jhaycee and Jhayli. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, reading, and sports.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Orrs Elementary community and look forward to continuing to build a school culture centered on excellence, relationships, and success for every Aviator.
